Abstract

REAF and BLIZ1 are two human proteins involved in DNA repair and the restriction of RNA virus proliferation in humans. Bioinformatics suggests that these proteins may be involved in the repair of DNA damage and help to prevent viral integration into the human genome. We shall establish how these proteins work in DNA repair and viral restriction using a combination of methods in cell and structural biology.
